As you can see on the scoreboards, it was full slate of games today and there were some magnificent performances, particularly on the mound. The Cubs-Pirates affair could make a strong case for Game of the Day, with the Pirates snagging a run in the bottom of the 8th on a Deb Garms RBI single to seal a one-run victory. Only two games on the slate today, but both were close affairs with some fine pitching performances. ***NOTE: I'm still playing around with how best to displays these daily snapshots within the limitations/size of the blog setup.
