Weekly Roundup (Games thru 4/27/1941)
An eventful week of games, and it looks like the better teams are already starting to rise toward the top of both leagues. The Yankees have been consistent all year and with Joe DiMaggio starting to get hot, they might be about to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the American League.
The surprise of the Browns' Johnny Lucadello leading both leagues in batting average, hitting an outrageous .600 on 15 at-bats, is probably the biggest shocker. I assume this will start to level out, but it will be interesting to see how long he can keep it up.
Starting with next week's Weekly Roundup, I will start including league leaders and tracking guys who are having the best years.
