Denny Sothern (PHI)

There were two Stellar Performances today in Philadelphia, but the Phillies offense, and in particular a staggering 14-run 2nd inning, carried the day.  In particular, the unheralded Denny Sothern had his biggest game of the season - 3-4, 2 home runs (his only home runs of the entire season), 6 runs batted in, while also walking once and scoring 3 runs himself.  Oh, and he also stole a bag.  The Phillies offense continues to hum.

Babe Herman (BRO)

While it was in a losing effort, the afternoon had by the redhot Babe Herman should also not be overlooked.  Herman is one of the hottest players in the National League at the moment, as evidenced by his own 3-4, 2 home run performance today.  On the season, his totals now sit at 4 home runs and 17 RBI and his batting average has climbed to .351.
