Guy Bush (CHC)

Despite the incredible offensive seasons being put together by a number of players, it seems like the Stellar Performances have been dominated by pitchers as of late.  Today is no different, as Guy Bush was untouchable in Chicago this afternoon, leading his team to a 4-0 victory while surrendering only 2 hits over 9 innings.  With the win, the Cubs go to 5 games above .500 and continue to push the Giants for the National League lead.

  As you can see on the scoreboards, it was full slate of games today and there were some magnificent performances, particularly on the mound.  The Cubs-Pirates affair could make a strong case for Game of the Day, with the Pirates snagging a run in the bottom of the 8th on a Deb Garms RBI single to seal a one-run victory.  But as you will see below, we are going with a pitcher's duel in Boston for today's honors.
