Lefty O'Doul (PHI)

The Phillies have so many weapons in their lineup it is shocking how bad they have been of late - even after today's win against the surging St. Louis Cardinals, the Phillies are 3-7 in their last 10 games and sit firmly in last place in the National League.  However, Lefty O'Doul cannot be blamed for much of this (it's mainly the pitching) and today in St. Louis he had an outstanding game to curb his own mini-slide.  O'Doul smacked two home runs, giving him 12 on the season, and drove in five runs to give him 40 on the year.  He finished the day 4-5 and scored three runs himself.  For the season, Lefty is now hitting .389.

With this loss the Cardinals remain in second place in the NL, but fall 5 games back from the Giants.
