Rogers Hornsby (CHC)

The Cubs continue to try and steady the ship after their horrendous 9-game losing skid ended two weeks ago and today at home against the Braves they twice squandered leads before an Earl Grace walkoff double won the game.  It was their star, however, who provided the most explosive showing of the day - Rogers Hornsby, the best player in the game right now, delivered 3-5 performance at the plate, hitting a triple and home run (giving him 15 for the year) and knocking in 4 runs to bring his league-leading RBI total to 64.  With the win, the Cubs are now back to the .500 mark and will look to climb back within reach of the New York Giants.
