There was only one game played today, so by sheer process of elimination...it is the game of the day. The funny thing is, though, it was actually a great game anyway and would have been a contender for a Game of the Day tag even with a normal day's action. Three games today, two of them really-well played, while the White Sox-Senators was a bit of a runaway. Today finally saw the Cardinals get their first win of the season, in a game where neither starter went particularly deep. The Cubs lost their first game of the year but will certainly take a 4-1 start. The Game of the Day, though, featured a matchup of two star starting pitchers.
