-        -  Joe Kuhel had a huge day – a day after he had six hits in a single game, today in Cleveland he hit two home runs and drove in five runs against the Indians. The White Sox improved to 2-1 with the 8-2 win.

- Catcher Harry Danning came up with the clutch hit against the Brooklyn Dodgers to secure the Giants’ first win of the season.  Top of the 9th, two outs, two on, and the game tied, Danning hit a double that brought both runners across the plate.  The Giants held on for a 5-3 win.

-        -  Pirates vs. Cubs was also a classic, with the Pirates managing to overcome a 9-8 deficit in the ninth inning, scoring three to win 11-9.
