-          Dodgers second baseman Billy Herman had a huge day in Philadelphia, belting his first two home runs of the season and driving in five runs.  The Dodgers needed all of his RBIs after they blew a lead in the fifth.  Once he launched his second home run (a two-run shot), however, the Dodgers never looked back.  With the win, the Dodgers move to 25-13 on the year and only one game behind the first-place St. Louis Cardinals.

-          It took 13 innings to decide today’s game at the Polo Grounds, but ultimately it was the home Giants who pulled out the win with a walk-off solo home run from shortstop Billy Jurges.
